Four days, nine disciplines, one patient.

SPECTRUM is built around a single question asked of nine specialties at once. Over four days, more than one hundred multidisciplinary lectures — together with panels, case presentations, tumour boards and hands-on workshops — examine how image-guided and locoregional therapy sits alongside surgery, systemic treatment and radiation — accredited for up to 34.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, trademark.

Fig. 03 — How the programme is taught

Five formats, one purpose.

Every session is chosen for what it teaches best. A lecture states the evidence; a tumour board shows the evidence meeting a patient.

  1. Didactic lectures

    Focused, evidence-led talks that set out where the data now stands, and where it does not.

  2. Panel discussions

    Faculty from different specialties take up the questions a single scan or trial cannot settle on its own.

  3. Case presentations

    Instructive cases worked through in the open, from referral and imaging to intervention and outcome.

  4. Tumour boards

    The meeting in miniature — one patient, read by every discipline that shares responsibility for the plan.

  5. Hands-on workshops

    Supervised, small-group practice on the image-guided techniques the lectures describe.

Nine disciplines, one colour each.

Each specialty carries a single hue, drawn from the two arcs of the SPECTRUM mark, across the agenda, the faculty index and the signage. Colour never stands alone: every track is named in full and abbreviated, so the key reads the same to the roughly one in twelve colleagues with red-green colour vision deficiency.

SPECTRUM Urology.

A premier multidisciplinary interventional oncology event within the meeting, SPECTRUM Urology brings together leading experts in urologic oncology and interventional radiology.

It pairs didactic sessions with a hands-on workshop, so the discussion of how to treat urologic malignancy leads directly to practice on the technique.
